Park Hyatt Chicago is a Chicago Luxury Hotel Treat
I have used this Park Hyatt Chicago hotel two times before in previous business trips to Chicago. Just the fact that I have been there twice already points to the fact that I have been satisfied with the service and facilities. I must confess that rates are on the high end but the location is excellent and the service flawless. Location wise there is little room for improvement as it is located in the midst of Michigan Avenue. All facilities are close by including shopping, eating and other entertainment. The rooms are large and the furnishing are of top quality. I was pleased to found that the chairs were in fact comfortable to sit in and work instead of just props as they seem to be in other hotels. Beds are also brilliant and if you have problems falling asleep you will not be able to blame them for it. The bathrooms are also of good size and similarly well furnished with walk in showers and double sized bathtubs. Some do even include television sets and would rather be described as a micro spa than as a bathroom. In fact these bathrooms are so comfortable that they alone were the main reason for my return to the hotel. I just love a nice bathroom and they seem to be getting harder to find nowadays. I also found the hotel decoration and aesthetics rather pleasant. It is decorated in a modern style that works well. Chic, but warm and stylish without being excessively flashy or overpowering. If you are tired and would rather dine in the hotel than go out there is an outstanding restaurant with an excellent wine selection, very nice views and an excellent sushi bar. The menu is modern French and I found it a happy exception to the rule "never eat in a hotel or sleep in a restaurant" Another attraction for me is the excellent fitness center that includes a beautiful pool with views, Jacuzzi and sauna facilities. On the work side of the equation things are evenly well organized. The communications and connectivity facilities in the rooms are excellent. My only complaint is that high speed internet is not free, something that I find indefensible in an establishment of this level. I general the service and quality of experience is what one would expect for well handled luxury establishment. The staff is helpful, courteous and proficient and the guest is almost bombarded with more perks than I can enumerate in this brief note. If you looking for a Chicago hotel or a luxurious Chicago hotel or even a cheap chicago hotel then you have come to the right place.
