The Plot against Harry: Entertaining, perceptive look at N.Y.C. life in reference to an aging mobster just sprung from jail, who finds the old guard changing, and his life unravelling. Defiance: Abrasive little film in reference to rootless blue-collar hermit Vincent, who tries to match up his dying kid's bone marrow on his own. He then tames a ferocious N.Y.C. road gang. Cast includes Jan-Michael Vincent, Craft Camey, Theresa Saldana, and Danny Aiello. (102 minutes, 1980)

The Little Shop of Horrors: Classic black comedy in reference to youthful schnook who creates bloodthirsty plant and is made to kill in request to fuel it with human blood. Originally notorious as the fIlm was shot In 2 Nights, however now thought to be one of Corman's best films. Nicholson has comical tad as masochist who flourishes on dental suffering; Cast includes Jonathan Cloud, Jackie Joseph, Mel Welles, Dick Miller, Myrtle Vail, and Jack Nicholson. (70 minutes, 1960)

One Woman or Two: Paleontologist Depardieu finds the fossil thought to be of the first Frenchwoman. Crass advert exec Weaver is planning on capitalizing on this to sell fragrance. Cast includes Gerard Depardieu, Sigourney Weaver, Dr. Ruth Westheimer, Michel Aurnont, and Zabou. (97 minutes, 1985)

The Sea Hawk: Top of the line amalgamation with Flynn at his streaking best in venture on the high oceans. The film has a vigorous balance of piracy, romance, and swordplay, handsomely shot, and orchestrated with exciting Erich Wolfgang Komgold score. Cast includes Errol Flynn, Brenda Marshall, Claude Pours, Donald Crisp, Flora Robson, Alan Hale, Henry Daniell, Una O'Connor, Gilbert Roland, and Edgar Buchanan. (127 minutes, 1940)

Delusion: Hard, tight thriller in reference to a yuppie pc executive-embezzler and his plight after seeing a Las Vegas show gal and her hit man boyfriend (Secor, in an eye-opening acting job) on a Death Valley freeway commit a killing. Blink: Did she or didn't she see a murderer leaving the scene of the crime? That's the main query while gorgeous and strong willed musician Stowe, who is blind. Tale depends on viewer�s acceptance of screenwriter's gimmick of "retroactive vision," a post-surgery reaction. Best thing in film is Stowe; alternatively this strolls onto the too recognizable blind-female-in-danger region. Cast includes Madeleine Stowe, Aidan Quinn, Laurie Metcalf, James Remar, Peter Friedman, Bruce A. young, Matt Roth, and Paul Dillon.  (105 minutes, 1994)
